Liz and Cath are able to work with the children and the staff in the school or nursery to help all children, but especially those with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) to develop their communication skills.  We have put together a package of care particularly focused on children in their Nursery year.  Principals can purchase any or all of these packages.  We feel that to maximise the effect of speech and language therapy in the setting, that parents need to be supported in the home to develop their child’s communication skills. We therefore recommend Nurseries purchase a combined package of training for the parents, training for the staff and therapy for the children.

For those children with speech difficulties alone we can assess them and work with a staff member or parent to support them through a web based programme called Speech Therapy Direct. We can also train staff members to use this programme independently as long as there has been an assessment of the child by Liz or Cath.
